What are the best boots for refereeing?
Now here’s a great topic! Here at REFSIX HQ we are always talking about kit and what boots are best! Hassan is a big fan of anything Nike, whereas Jon opts for different boots almost every year and has no brand loyalty whatsoever. So what we have done is put together a list of boots that we at REFSIX use or have used to help you decide on your next pair of boots!

Adidas Copa Mundials
Let's start off with the classics shall we. a boot that we have seen for years and years. The main man himself Pierluigi Collina wore them when he was in his prime. But if thats not enough for you then the synthetic leather is durable for years if looked after right and the 12 stud sole plate gives you grip in any surface or any condition!
Nike Premier
If you are a referee that is looking for comfort and and lightweight these are the boots for you. The nike premier is a comfortable boot that fits all feet both wide and thin feet, you will have no problem breaking this boot in and would brease 90 min or even extra time if called upon. As well as fitting in with the Nike kit in England the thing we love about this is boot is the new addition to the tongue paying homage to the old Nike Tempos.
Now these are no joke. The boots on display here have been great so far but these where my first pair of boots and I will not have a bad word spoken about the Umbros. Since being sold off by Nike they really have stepped up their game in the boot department. The synthetic leather helps keep your feet dry and the knitted collar around the boots gives you a nice locked in foot without any discomfort.
Puma kings
Just like the Adidas Copas these boots are a classic boot that have had a modern face lift. Now this boots comes in two forms with and without the tongue. Now with the tongue its the classic Puma king we all know and love the premium leather the classic black and white design. However the bot with the modern touch has all in one upper that keeps it lightweight , comfortable and durable. The new modern Puma King is a great boot for any referee because as well as all of these benefits its one of the cheapest boots on the market.
Nike tempos
Now the modern day game and technology is something that is becoming more and more interesting and the nike Tempo is always the boot that is on the forefront of technology. This boot has never been through a rebrand since its introduction in 1994. This boot has always be one for touch and class and the modern model brings exactly that. The FLYTunell allows your foot to be firmly locked it. Alswell also making the boot super easy to break in meaning no more blisters
Pantofola d’Oro
What more can we say about this boot, other than its oozes class. This is the boot you want if you want to show who's boss and does not need to be tamped with (no “Mossy” needed) the fine italian leather makes the boot feel light and comfortable to run in, as well as easy to clean and long lasting. A true classic referee boot.
