Improving positioning as a referee
Positioning is one of the most important elements of refereeing as it can improve the decisions you make and how those decisions are interpreted.
FIFA, IFAB and many refereeing departments all over the world use a method called the ‘lazy S’ which ensures a referee is in the right position in relation to their assistants.
Elite referees get positional data showing them where they were on the pitch so they can improve, but REFSIX has delivered this technology to grassroots referees too. Our heatmap comparison tool allows you to see where on the pitch you were when you gave a decision.
